Last modified date doesn't match Changes page

I was just working on one of the children of this gentleman, and I noticed that the Last Modified date shows as 23 May 2016 on his profile page, but when you go into the Changes tab, the only activity that shows is the creation of the profile by import in 2012.

Am I missing something?

Hi Julie,

All of the following could affect a last-modified date but not appear in the changes:

* If an attached photo has a new comment or edit.

* If a person's marriage is edited via their spouse.

* If a merge status is changed, or a rejected match is added.

* Privacy Level changes.

* Profile Manager changes, if done in bulk or indirectly.

* If a DNA test is added for the person.

* If a badge is awarded to the person.

Thanks, Chris -- then adding/removing a child will also update, then. Thanks for solving the mystery. :-)

Understand what Chris said, but I am looking at my own profile and it says

Last modified 8 August 2016.

I think that is tomorrow....

It's tomorrow in WikiTree server time.
And I figured out that if I did anything today....that means my profile was updated....LOL

This is a problem that several of us have had in the past. Apparently it is a result of the software's attempt to update profiles to make them advance in the rankings on the search engines. Supposedly it was going to be corrected so that the dates would be the same, but I've seen no evidence of that.

Also note the wife and children aren't showing in the Change Log.  That doesn't explain the date showing, since presumably they were added earlier.  Whether they affected the date stamp at the time, I don't know.

That's interesting -- hadn't looked at that.

Someone I'm working with on this family added his daughter today, so that's probably why his Last Modified date changed, but shouldn't that addition show up in his Change log, too?? <-- rhetorical :-)

Incidentally, the relationship change is also not showing up on his wife's Change log.
