I'd like to commend Bredehoft-6 specifically and any other wiki leaders for taking responsibility when they are asked to help with merging. Tom wanted to KNOW how I knew two people were born in the same place. It was obvious to me - until I spent the day trying to prove it - and found myself blind to some obvious missed clues. If we can't prove it, we find a way to explain any conflict or don't use it. Thanks to WikiTree for Standards, you keep us honest! You deserve credit for the following quote:
"A man cannot prove a negative, but he has a right to claim that when a man makes an affirmative charge, he must offer some proof to show the truth of what he says. I certainly cannot introduce testimony to show the negative about things, but I have a right to claim that if a man says he 'knows' a thing, then he must show 'how' he knows it. I always have a right to claim this and it is not satisfactory to me that he may be 'conscientious' on the subject."
