Looking for ancestors of Henry Voigt 8/1857(Germany)-9/24/1912(Chatt, TN).

Question

Henry and Fred Voigt came to the US from Germany. Henry moved to Chattanooga, TN and lived there until death. He married Doris and in May 1885 gave birth to Bertha In New York. In 10/9/1898 they had William Preston in Tennessee. According to Henry's obit in Chattanooga newspaper, Fred, his brother lived in Detroit, Michigan at time of Henry's death. I am looking for info on parents and siblings of Henry and Fred, as well as, Fred's family. Thank you for your help. I do the best I can but I am still very new to the geneology scene.

Thanks so much for your help and speedy reply! I failed to include some important facts about Henry. Henry and his brother Fred Voigt came to the US from Germany. Henry Married Doris and in New York, May 1885, gave birth to the daughter Bertha. They then moved to Chattanooga TN where their son, Preston William, was born on 10/9/1898. Chattanooga is where Henry & Doris both lived until their death. According to Henry's obit in Chattanooga newspaper 9/1912, his brother, Fred, lived in Detroit, MI. I am looking for info about Henry & Fred's siblings, parents, grandparents, etc., and Fred's family. I am also looking for any info on Henry's wife, Doris, who also came from Germany (Bremen) but not at same time as Henry. I believe ,but do not have solid proof, that Doris' maiden name is Eggers. Thanks for you help! Im so new at all this & dont know where to turn nor what Im looking at most of time.
