How do I locate this particular transcript? And what state do I start looking in?

Hello,

My ancestry (thus far) leads back to John Hawkins B. 1634 or possibly 1637 (I don't have a month/day). This guy is my brick-wall!

I've located several "online" sources that state:

"His immigration record was found on Transcript. Q:435-6 [SR 7346], MSA SC 4341-2985 confirming that he arrival was in 1658."

How do I know that information is reliable? How can I locate that record myself? I simply need to know where to look in order to verify the immigration information and to verify that this John Hawkins is MY John Hawkins. :) Easier said than done, I know.

My records indicate that he was in Maryland, USA , that he DID leave a will in which my 7th great grandfather was named.
