Merging duplicate self after GEDCOM loading

Question

I got email saying upload completely processed & action report says everything complete BUT when I try to merge me Dickson-2329 with duplicate from GEDCOM Dickson-2335 I get a message that the merge can't happen because the GEDCOM processing is not complete. I checked all my GEDCOM people and one, Robert Dickson-2341 b. 10/28/1824, does not show up in various ways of searching even though he's in the data base and in my family tree. Is this the snag? Can you fix it?

Try now, you should be able to merge with your duplicate.
