Hi David,

Have you clicked on "Find" at the top right of screen then clicked on "Projects"?  Connected to each Project is a Leader who can give you access.

Not all project-protected profiles require access to edit. In general, a PPP status on a profile means that the last name at birth cannot be changed, nor can parents of the profiled person be changed, without involvement of a project leader.

Other than that, profiles can technically be edited. However, you are strongly encouraged to communicate with the project about any changes you'd like to make to a protected profile, unless it's minor editing.

Indeed!  An accurate, technical, detailed answer is best for beginners.
