I've lost about 4 to 5 hours of work,I save Profile Changes but they're not saved, happened 3x

Question

I guess the page Times Out but I don't find out until after I save changes to profile but by then all the work has disappeared. Going back does not work. It did yesterday but not today. Is there site technical problems going on or anything. I wanna cry. I have been trying so hard on getting the format right, I must I have checked the preview for the biography at least 15x.

 I have have had this happen at least three times this morning, four, maybe five hours of my time spent carefully typing and formatting so it will read and look good. Now its all gone.sigh

It's often happened to me when editing Freespace pages. Like you it takes me ages to get the formatting correct and  and then I lose it (I think it says failed token check or something similar) .

I think the answer is to save often but  when I have to keep changing little bits to get it looking right , I tend to keep  looking at the preview and then revising rather than saving.

You should save changes often.  It only takes a click and a moment and prevents issues.

If you have an edit page open too long it will time out, failed token check. The best thing to do is copy what you have, paste into notepad or a word document and work on it there.

When you are ready, paste into the edit section and save. Then you can make changes, preview and save again.

If you do get the failed token check, what you have typed should still be there, copy it all, clear the biography box and paste it back in, then save.
