John Parker, Captain of the Lexington Militia ('shot heard 'round the world') could use a little profile improvement and greater connection to the tree.

It could be a nice way to spend a little time this Memorial Day.

Thank you.

I hope you enjoy this.
I summarized from a website I found: http://thomaslegion.net/captain_john_parker.html which has a lot of resources attached to the site.

John Parker was born July 13, 1729 in Lexington, Massachusetts. He was a farmer, mechanic, and soldier who eventually would command the Lexington militia at the Battle of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775 but would die before serving in the Battle of Bunker Hill in June due to tuberculosis.  Not only was he the leader of the militia in Lexington he was also a soldier in the French and Indian War (seven years war) having served in battles at the Siege of Louisbourg and the conquest of Quebec.

I also found a book on his descendants: https://archive.org/details/genealogybiograp00park

Hope this helps !!!

Christine, these are great resources.  Thank you.  Did you want to put this on his profile?  Or would you rather someone else did?
