Does anyone know who the parents of John Cady, born abt 1818 in OH are?

Seeking information  on John Cady, possibly John S Cady, born abt. 1818 in Ohio. Both parents were born in New York. John married Nancy M. Coffee in 1847 and was a farmer in Fisher, Champaign, Illinois where my great grandmother Louisa Cady was born in 1854. I can't get anywhere on The family trees are riddled with innaccuracies.

This does not address my original question about the parents of James Cady. It is information I already have amassed in my family tree and does not touch upon the New York origins of this family line. I am specifically seeking documentable information about the parents, both born in New York according to the Census taken.
Are you looking for the parents of John, or James?  If John died in Illinois, how do you know this is not the same family?  Could he not have been born elsewhere and relocated by the time he was 18?

Also, is there any flexibility on the birthdate?

I'm looking for James Cady. Though I also have a John Cady in my tree. All I know is the birth date is Abt 1818. I noticed an Ohio Census in 1830 and 1840 that mentioned a James Cady. After 1840, he no longer appears in  census rolls. It's possible he moved to Illinois and is my maternal grandfather. I've been so frustrated trying to work through Ancestry. It's a great site, but I feel this aspect of my family tree has been polluted my incorrect info in family trees. I appreciate all the assistance and direction you provided.

All the JOHN CADYS I could find:

John, son of Jesse Cady & Diantha b. 12/20/1820\

(Joseph & Lavinia Tyler m. 9/20/18 hd two children - no names)

John Cleveland Cady & Luch Morris Nichols had a son John Nicholas

b. 4/8/1823 (d. 1892 in Detroit)

John Wesley Cady b. 12/22/1821

All this I gleaned from 'Descendants of Nicholas and Judith Cady.  I have the file with the info if you would like to delve further into these.

Also didn't know if you researched on, the LDS site, which has quite a few John Cadys.  I did a quick 'search' and was amazed at the choices.
