Is Wiki markup supposed to work in G2G postings?

Question

In a posting reply I entered the following on a line by itself

Why didn't it work?

I'm not personally familiar with the coding you have put up, hopefully someone will come along and have a look.  Don't forget if you are wishing to thank Ellen Smith (presuming this is what you may have done) you have the opportunity to award a badge eg generous etc...

Wiki markup doesn't work in G2G. Instead, G2G uses forum software that has a menu of formatting commands (i.e., the buttons above the box that we type in) that's pretty similar to what's available in a modern word-processing program.

I think your solution is one of the icons at the top of this panel.

After the:  B  I  U  S  x  x  there is an A underlined.

That's the change font colour icon.

I think what you're saying is that 'code', per se, doesn't work in these postings, that using the buttons is the only way to do font-editing.  Okay, let's see...
