Can I get Fold 3 lookup help, please?

Hi fellow WikiTreers,

If someone could please look up the Civil War service records for this family member, I would greatly appreciate it.  I have some information I got from National Park Service, and some from Ancestry's records of the Tennessee Archives, but they conflict, so I need a lookup.  Thank you in advance!

There is nothing at Fold 3 for William Towns confederate soldier. Or William Towns from Tennessee. A William Town was captured, incarcerated in New Orleans, asked to take the Oath of Allegiance so he could go back to his family, saying he'd been conscripted at St. Francisville. Not your guy but interesting.

Interesting.  Park service has it but not fold 3.  Wonder why?

My thought is that maybe because he was a confederate. They have oodles of Union records.
