Did you know that in May 2016 the number of Club 1000 badges was over 300?

While we all know that the number of contributions is not the most important measure on Wikitree, good well sourced profiles with DNA confirmations would be a better one, it does seem that when more managers do more that there is progress.

In May for the first time more than 300 managers made over 1000 contributions. The previous high was in March with 282.

Thanks, Philip!
We wikitree are all awesome! I have learned to be a much better genealogist because of my membership here. Thank You All for allowing me to fail. :-) JPVIV
I can't help but think that the db_errors project contributed to (if not downright caused) this increase.
And let's not forget the 1,498 managers who earned the club 100 badge last month, as their contributions are equally important. I wonder if that is a record number as well?
Carol,

Yes.  And I suspect that some of the 1498 added some great well researched profiles.  And the 100 badge really means more than 100 and less the 999.  999 can be a lot of hard work.

It would not be difficult to determine the number, the counts and individuals are all shown on the badge page and the entire history is there, just change the url and you can select any month you want.  I thought about it, but I am in the middle of North and South Carolina in the late 1800's and that seems more interesting today.
I agree that The DB errors project would seem to help contribute to the 1000 club. When I message people about a possible profile as part off the project I am including a link as a subtle recruiting tool for the project.
Excellent idea, Marty!

I didn't know, but have to agree it is brilliant news, with all those contributions, the site is growing.

I'll bet part of it is due to the database errors project.  I'm not positive, but I think May was the highest contribution count I've had, just because of that project.

I thought just the same.
oops! as did I (before reading this).
:-)   Great minds. . . ?

Nope, it was all me!!  LOL

May was the first time I managed to earn the 1000 contributions badge!!

I was a very busy person in May!!

Naaah - I'd say it was a combination of the 1400+ managers who posted, the highest recorded number of managers (over 300 including me) who posted over 1000 and maybe the db errors as well.

Way to go Robynne!! Hope to see you earn more in the coming months. Thank you for all you do!!
Thank you Dorothy.

I do try and be consistent and earn the 100 badge every month since I joined Wikitree. The 1000 badge for May was just a fluke.

I even astounded myself and made over 100 contributions in the first 5 days I was here, right after I joined, which was enough to get that first 100  badge.

I joined on 26 Dec - and there was only 5 days to the end of the month (and year). Of course choosing to NOT upload a gedcom also helps, because I have had to input pretty every single profile myself!!

How many people consistently earn 1000 Club every month? I try to earn it every month. 35 months running so far. Who can beat that?

Thanks Dorothy!
