Seeking help in making sure I have the proper historical rule for the city of Emsdetten (now in NRW).

My ancestors have been there since the 1500s.

Is the following correct...?

(prior to 1804): Emsdetten, Grafschaft Steinfurt, Westfalen, Heiliges Römisches Reich

(1804-1805): Emsdetten, Grafschaft Bentheim-Steinfurt, Königreich Westphalen, Rheinbund (or Französische Republik?)

(1806-1813): Emsdetten, Grafschaft Bentheim-Steinfurt, Großherzogtum Berg, Rheinbund (or Französische Reich?)

(1814-1835): Emsdetten, Kreis Steinfurt, Westfalen, Königreich Preußen, Deutscher Bund

Grafschaft Steinfurt, (Niederrheinisch-Westfälischer Reichskreis), Heiliges Römisches Reich - 1454-1804

Grafschaft Bentheim-Steinfurt, Heiliges Römisches Reich - 1804-1806 (Königreich Westphalen was only founded in 1807, Rheinbund in 1806, did not become French until 1811)

Großherzogtum Berg, Rheinbund - 1806-1811

Département de la Lippe, France - 1811-1815

Provinz Westfalen, Königreich Preußen, Deutscher Bund - 1815-1866

Thank you so much, Helmut!

Would Emsdetten still be part of Grafschaft Steinfurt during the brief period it was under Fürstentum Rheina-Wolbeck?

Sorry, I overlooked the three years of the Fürstentum Rheina-Wolbeck. I would not use Grafschaft Steinfurt for this time period, just Emsdetten, Fürstentum Rheina-Wolbeck, Heiliges Römisches Reich, November 1802 - July 1806.
