I think the Abigail Marvin you are interested in is http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Marvin-34 - Abigail (Marvin) Boughton (abt. 1637 - 1680). The profile shows a daughter Abigall Bouton, who married Ebenezer Smith.

I see David Bouton's father Samuel married "Abigail" (Marvin?) ? or other sources say Esther Avery? I am trying to connect Samuel Gould Bouton (1770-1836) to John Bouton (1636-1703) then to John "the immigrant" Bouton (1615-1647) ...and am confused.

WikiTree doesn't seem to have authoritative information to assist you.

The WikiTree profile for Bouton-97 (David Bouton, 1722-1750 -- the only David Bouton I find here in the time period I think you are asking about) has him as the son of John Bouton and has David Bouton married to Esther Avery. That profile was created by a gedcom import over two years ago, and the only "source" cited on that profile is a user-contributed Ancestry Family Tree that has been abandoned.
