Attempting to enter O`Flynn as a surname. As the name only has letters, spaces and an apostraphe, why can I not enter it

It would by the O`Flynn

Do a copy paste of O'Flynn it is the apostrophe that is causing you problems.

On your keyboard it may have @ symbol under this key is the apostrophe

Your apostrophe is going in the opposite direction.

Looks like you need to enter it as O_Flynn  Looks like there are some 30 or more O_Flynns already in the tree.

It does accept O'Brien (only an example).
