Canadian passenger lists are now searchable by name!

+19 votes

Somebody found what looked like a match for my great grandfather coming from England to Canada (I'm pretty sure it is), and when I went to the Library and Archives site to look up the passenger list by ship and date (which I've been able to do for some time, but that's only helpful if you've already found the ship and date through some other source), and I found that now there's a (separate) search by passenger name!

Oh frabjuous joy! I've already been able to find most of my mother's side, who came over in separate sailings (but, oddly enough, the same ship each time).
