The Great War Project

How would http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dearlove-1 fit in. As part of the Commonwealth of Nations (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Empire) as it was known (not only the "UK") there are quite a few soldiers from South Africa who partook, not only for example in what was then German South-West Africa but also in Europe, the battle of Delvile Wood. See for example the Delville Wood South African National Memorial.

Yes he would fit the project please add the template and I will add him to our list.  I just get confused on the flag to use at times.
Hi Jacky, thanks for responding. But that's just it - I do not understand half of those templates [Return to ...] etc. ... Am not so happy to have others working on his profile either because there is still a lot of personal info I gather from other sources about the general family surrounding him, that I still have to add. If you can tell me which template / category to put I'll consider it.
{{The Great War
| nationality =South Africa
| branch =Army
| start-year =
| end-year =
| text =Imperial Light Horse (ILH) division
}}

You would just need to add the start and end years
Oh great thanks Jacky!
