Hey y'all , I'm doing well and while I still consider myself a new person after a couple of years here I'm not so frustrated as I used to get. But I am not as afraid of things as I used to be and have tried new things for me. And as techno defunct as I am , I haven't crashed the system yet . So something I have found that is helpful for me is this. For a few generations of my family I have a very good source that covers several family members. And their neighbors and business people they have had contact with. So to find connections on wikitree I keep a list of each name I run across and track it in the surnames list. At first I thought I wouldn't find anyone. I've found alot of people already here. Been able to find at least one source that enables me to connect them to family. Then I have notes as to what I need to further research and dates that may need to be worked or what ever. But I don't know if a bunch of Jamestowne neighbors who connect through marriage would go in a category or be a free space page. These connections as neighbors have really helped me make sense of family connections for several generations , especially with repeat family names and attaching correctly to dates. I want to write kind of a small history of how these families have interacted and put it in one place so it might help others like it has me. Example , Today I'm looking for my Beck relations and I find a whole string of Whittens. Which might help someone else on wikitree. So where would I put something like this? Is this a category or free space page ?
