Hallo, I am trying to orient myself to this space, and am kind of feeling my way around.  I have just reviewed all my matches, and on the advice of senior members have just gotten rid of all the pre 1700 folks even if they are not showing as possible matches.  I also clicked on multi-skip for all of those.  I figure one can always add people, but removing them or merging them would be more messy.  So, my question here is, having clicked on multi-skip, the field turned light yellow for a second, until I clicked on the next.  Am I good to go?  Can I upload now?  Is multi-skip indeed selected?  I don't want to piss everyone off on Day One!

Thank you thank you thank you!

Welcome to Wikitree.

I looked at your ged compare report and there are a lot of people skipped, way more than your matches, so I think it took. And it looks as though you've sent it to wikitree to be approved for import.

You are indeed a wise woman to skip all those pre-1700 people. The match system doesn't necessarily find alternate or slightly different spellings so make sure you look for them when you get around to entering those ancestors. I even think I saw a couple I recognized.
