When I look at my DNA confirmations, why are none of my grandparents names highlighted like all other names on the list?

Hi Tim,

I can see you've added a tag of y-Chromosone, Presume this is in fact the DNA you are referring to?

When I loaded mine which was mtDNA - it went to my mother, her mother, her grandmother etc.

Though after I had added I then added a few other names, these didn't update until the following day.

One thing to look at - go into edit mode of the profiles - did you click on the right hand side - the parents - 'DNA' or 'Father is Confident'? Or is it left blank?

Hi Tim,

I see that you've entered information about an Ancestry test that you took, not a yDNA test. But I don't understand your question. Are you referring to the page headed "DNA Ancestor Confirmation Aid for Tim Porter"? I don't see that your grandparents' names appear to be any different from those of your other ancestors.

By the way, please don't check 'Confirmed with DNA' for any of your relationships until you have a match with one or more other people who have tested. See this page for how to do that: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Confirmed_with_DNA
