With regard to Jane Jenkin (Jenkyn) b 1736 and Jane Jenking b 1746 I found records on family search shown the same indexing project batch number for both of them as well as the film number. Both Jane's parent are shown as the same (Thomas and Ann) How does one ascertain which birthdate is correct. I would like to open a profile for Jane.

England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQGK-CXS : accessed 6 May 2016), Jane Jenkyn, 01 Apr 1736; citing SAINT ENODER,CORNWALL,ENGLAND, reference ; FHL microfilm 226,187.

My 3rd great grandfather, had a younger brother, Laurance, who was born in 1759 who died very young. The next child, was also named Laurance who was born in 1761.

Could a similar situation be with a Jane born 1736 and another in 1746?
Hi Frank

That is quite possible, I didn't think of that. I will have to research a wee bit more to find deaths etc

Thanks

Pat
