John Macomber for PGM

Worked my way back along my family tree to John Macomber.  I'm thinking this should be a PGM profile just based on the dates and location where he lived.  I am also curious to know if he's mentioned in Anderson since I don't have access to it.

No, he is not covered by Anderson.  To be part of his Great Migration project the immigrant had to be in New England by 1635.  I did some quick poking around and it seems the earliest record of him is in 1643, which would even put him outside of WikiTree's PGM project.  Do you have a record proving he was in New England by 1640?

No, I didn't realize the cutoff was 1635.

Kyle, Anderson's Great Migration book series (that PGM uses as its guide) didn't get beyond 1635; even so, wikitree's PGM project cuts off at 1640 (using other mostly NEHGS sources).

In some cases (for example, when there's a disputed origin or parental or LNAB connection that needs protecting), PGM will adopt 1640-1650 people (or at least we have in the past-- but I am no longer co-leader of PGM so can't speak for current leadership). If you feel this profile should be protected because of something more than just his date, please feel to make the case for it.

I don't think it needs protection, it was a lonely gedcom upload when I got to it.  I was thinking of adding a category tag, though, which I will not now.
I gave him a town category, anyway.

Since the Taunton town records were lost, lack of a record doesn't necessarily mean that he wasn't in New England before 1640, but it does mean that we can't lean on Anderson's good work to document his life.
