I don't want to tell you why Josiah E Franklin was important. I want you to open his profile and read the epitaph on his gravestone.
- Why is Josiah E Franklin important to American history?
- Do we have any Boston members who could go and take our own photograph of his monument, epitaph, old stone, etc.?
- He has siblings, wives, and children attached. They probably need basic bios written. Would someone check this and maybe make a list of who needs a bio. Then others can post a comment as they write some of the others.
- What was the "constant labor and industry" that allowed Josiah to raise 13 children?
- Was he a religious man?

United States Cemeteries Project
Take a walk through a cemetery. They are incredibly peaceful. There are no phones ringing, no crowds jostling, and no commotion of life. You can be surprised at what you find: history, murder, mysteries, ordinary life. Once I found a baby deer curled up behind a stone.
The U.S. Cemeteries Project was created as an outgrowth of Australian Cemeteries Project, and along with our Canadian and European counterparts, now serves as a key component of the larger Global Cemeteries Project (GCP).
The mission of the U.S. Cemeteries Project is the same as that of the GCP: to make WikiTree the preferred site for genealogists and family researchers to find and share information regarding the final resting places of our ancestors.
