I am trying to sort out early Pennsylvania Rittenhouses, including profiles I just adopted.

I just adopted several PA Rittenhouse profiles, and it seemed easy at first, but there are a lot of mistakes on existing profiles, many stemming from confusion between William Dewees Rittenhouse (28 Nov 1691-2 Mar 1772) (parents Nicholas Rittenhouse and Wilhelmina Dewees)and William Umstead Rittenhouse (1695-8 Mar 1767)(parents Gerhard Rittenhouse and Anna Margaretha Umstat)  There also seems to be a William Claus Rittenhouse, whom I think is being confused with William Umstead, if he actually exists because the birth and death dates seem the same

I think this needs fresh eyes.  I've been playing with it on Ancestry and have just started using family group sheets.  Find A Grave has been quite informative in some places.  There also seems to be considerable confusion regarding the many children,  I'm looking for a definitive resource, but I don't think I can trust Daniel Cassel's book since he seems to claim that Rettinghausens suddenly became Habsburgs, but that's a whole different issue.

Is this something the Penn project wants to get involved with?  I appreciate any suggestions as I continue to try to unravel this mess.
