adding Gedmatch dna

Today I uploaded  husband's and my DNA's to Gedmatch.

Should I wait for the alloted time to update to Wikitree. Gedmatch says it will take a few days to be ready.

I tried to add the Gedmatch to Wikitree  id number but it wouldn't take it...

Thank you Lise

If you go to the DNA test section on the right hand side of a profile (below) TAGs followed it will have a "has person had a DNA test?" button you can click on and it will ask you to enter the data.  It will probably take a day for what you entered to show up for your profile and longer for more distant relatives.  But it should should up eventually on all your family members who may  be genetically related to you.

From what I remember, adding DNA testing information to Wikitree is pretty straightforward.

From your Wikitree profile, go to the top right of the page and click on Add and select the "DNA Test Information" button, and then select "Add a Test".  You then select "Ancestry DNA" and put in as much information as you want.  I recommend putting in your Ancestry DNA username and your Gedmatch # for your test in this entry, since the test connected to your Gedmatch # is the data from your Ancestry DNA test.

Then - just do the same for your husband (starting from his Wikitree profile) if you want to add his DNA information to Wikitree as well.
