Should Emma d'Italia and Emma z Čechy be merged?

+10 votes

Newer research in the German and Czech literature seems to suggest that both Emmas are the same. (See bio for Emma z Čechy

Considering the circumstantial nature of the argument is the evidence strong enough to merge those profiles or should they stay separate with an explanation of the research in both bios?

Helmut, can you tag this post with Euroarista so John Atkins or another euroarista project leader sees this?

Just a note: it's John Atkinson and EuroAristo ('o' not 'a' at end).

My bad! For as much as I talk to John... I am sooo sorry that I misspelled his last name. I must of have been thinking of cousin Gene at the same time. LOL:)

And sorry for the misspelled tag.. that teaches me not to try to spell big words before coffee:)

Thank-you for looking after me, Darlene!:)

I like the page for Emma z Čechy. Great info! And it certainly suggests that we do need to consider a merge. ... Let's wait and see if John Atkins responds. It would be good to get his input. For now, I will set them as an unmerged match.

After reading the bios (on which you have done a great job by the way), I would vote to leave them separate and not merge for now...

I'm of the same view - the evidence seems to be a bit too circumstantial.  I'd have to look at it some more but I think there have been studies showing that coins moved around much more than we might think.

But I agree you are doing a great job with these profiles Helmut.
