How do i find my farther's parent's names?

I tried looking it up for you based on just your name and being born in the 1970s (all the information we currently have to go on).

Turns out your name is not unique.  There are many others named Holly Martinez from different times and places.  I was unable to guess which might be you, and in turn unable to guess who your father and his parents might be.

The best way to get results here in G2G would be to share as much information as you have so that the searchers have a place to start.

Please provide information about yourself and what you know of your parents.  Your dad's name would be most vital, followed by clues about his date of birth or age, where he might have been born, lived, or passed away.  Wife's name.  Known children and where they were born.  Etc.

That would give us an actual person to research and is far more likely to lead to positive results for you.

I'm happy to try and help you (others are too) if you can provide direction for the search.

Hello and welcome

You can use various resources.  Join paid site e.g. FindMyPast or Ancestry.

Or use familysearch.org - totally free.

If siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins are contactable - you could ask them what they know about the family to fill in gaps.

You can purchase a birth certificate for your father - this will show his parents, occupation and sometimes their address.

Local libraries are a great place to look, use the archives, newspapers (family announcements).
