How do you find a marriage license when you don't know the state that issued the license?

Hello Lannie,

Have you searched through a genealogy site? To see if you can find a confirmed marriage?

I've looked at the link for Fern Zaiontz - the profile doesn't state a continent, country etc...

The free website: https://familysearch.org/ - may help in locating a country, county, state etc...

Well there's a Kipp Family tree on Ancestry.com with lots of info, including censuses.  It shows Fern as born in Nebraska.  and dying in San Antonio Texas.   So I'd try those states first.  But generally Family Search will do a pretty good job of finding records of people even without locations if you enter the name and a date or two.  And since the site is free, you'd be well off to set up an account there and use it often.
