Hello, I am stumped. My paternal grandmother was born to Jacob Graham Black and Sarah Lucinda Burwell. Grandma is Elsie Belle Black Maynard b. 1913 d. 1988. She had a sister Stella Pearle Black Montgomery and a brother named Allen. I cannot find any information about Jacob Black other than he was born abt 1868 and they lived in upper middleton, PA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Frank, yes the first listing is him. The son listed as brinton is actually Allen Brinton Black, he was my grandma's older brother.

Awesome! I knew Sarah burwell had married a Moore in WV. Looking at the census records it appears that Sarah and Jacob split between 1910 and 1920. Brinton stayed with his father and stepmother, while Sarah took Stella, Lucinda, and my grandma Elsie who was born 1912, thank you very very much.
