I am looking for anyone researching the Farrington family in the UK.

Question

William Farrington  was born in 1774 at Hackney, London, England and left for the Bahamas somewhere around 1790. His last will and testament stated that he has lived in the Bahamas for the past 49 years and his date of death was in 1839. He is the progenitor of the Farringtons in the Bahamas and if anyone has a Farrington in their tree that left the UK as a young man of say 16 years of age for the Bahamas, His parents might have been named Richard and Mary. I would appreciated any information that you might be able to share with me.

I don't know how to answer some of your questions, but this could be his father's birth and his paternal grandparents. Maybe someone else at WikiTree would be able to answer why he left England and whether he came to the Bahamas by himself or with others.

I am studying the family and descendants of a prominent Abraham Farrington, possibly for a book. He was born in 1690 and passed on January 26, 1758, he is buried at the Bunhill Fields Quaker Burying Ground, in Islington, London Borough of Islington, Greater London, England. He was born in Pennsylvania but moved to England, which is a part of the UK so I guess it counts. He is very interesting and a cool piece of Quaker history in Pennsylvania. I will search for help in your case and email findings.
