Sarah Covehoven

Question

Hello Catie, I rescued a bible from someone who was going to throw it away. It does not have family information beyond "bible of Sarah Covehoven from the estate of Tunis Vandever 1803. There are various scriptures and spiritual sayings written in lovely script through out the book.

This is not my family. I would love to reunite it to some family member, do you know anyone who would be interested? We are downsizing and I sure would like it to go where it belongs.

You may want to contact the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society http://newyorkfamilyhistory.org/global/about-us/contact-us because those appear to be Dutch or New Netherland names.
