I am trying to find more info on Philemon Connell whom I think is my gggrandfather. I have run into many brick walls.
Do you have any info on Philemon? In one census I see a Minda Connell, a 22 year old female, in his household. In a later census I find this woman listed in the household of Henry C. Connell, who is my greatgrandfather. Minda is listed as his mother. I can not seem to find a link between Philemon, Minda, and Henry. I can't find a father for Henry.
I have seen a message that mention that Philemon is a civil magistrate. That is the first I have seen this.

Philemon Connell was the son of Francis Connell and Elizabeth Russell b. Lunenburg County, VA. He died in Lancaster Co., SC in 1856.
I have not been able to place Mindy as she was a very young girl in his household when he was old. She may have been a daughter-in-law. I do not know of a Henry Connell.
Philemon Connell (son of Francis Pace Connell) was born Abt. 1804 in Lancaster co SC, and died 1864 in Lancaster co SC. He married Minda A.
