I am certified to make changes to dates pre 1500 but the system won't allow me to fix a typographical error.

Can someone in G2G please fix the year of death for me?  It says 0892 when it should be 1892. The person in question is Bryan-2964. The ancestor in question is Allen Boardman Bryan Jr. (Bryan-2964)

Will you  please fix where I can work on dates pre 1700 again? I have taken the tests and have been approved.  My link is Johnson-38184

Thank you, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth! I fixed the death date typo. Cheers, Liz
Hello LIz,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you a thousand more times.  It was frustrating that I couldn't fix my own error.  I feel better knowing it is fixed.

Now, how do I get it fixed that I can correct dates pre-1700?  I'm authorized to do so but the system says no, I can't.  Do you know where I go from here?  Any bit of help would be appreciated because I really don't know where to go about that problem.

Blessings, Elizabeth

Glad I could help. There are two different badges - pre-1700, which you have, and pre-1500, which you don't. See this page for information on applying for the pre-1500 badge. One of the questions is about projects you participate in, and I notice you don't have any project badges showing on your profile. Take a look at the projects listed on this page and see if there are any that pique your interest.

Cheers, Liz

Thank you for the link to the projects listings.  I was going to get going on that when two of my cousins approached me to help out with writing a book.  A good chunk of my lineage, which is not theirs, is involved and they wanted my assistance.  So I've been very busy with that.  We just finished and we are going over it all to make sure all is accounted for and no errors.  Exciting times.  Anyway, since I am free of that project, I can now attack this part of genealogy work.

Again, thanks.  Elizabeth

Actually you have the pre 1700 badge which covers 1500-1700.  The pre 1500 badge is much more demanding to obtain and takes a fair amount of time.  I haven't even thought about applying for it yet.

Hi Dave

I agree, hence staying away from the pre-1500 Badge for the time being.
Thank you Dave. I just looked at my badges and I see my error.  I don't want to do the pre-1500 badge at this time either. I can't get the pre-1700 to work for me as it is.

You are kind to have responded to me.

Blessings, Elizabeth
