Daniel Gray married Mary Frances Mead b. 1830, Rockingham, VT. Marriage place is unknown but possible the NH land grants. HER mother, Hepzadiah GOODENOW married Aaron Mead in Bellows Falls but never found the marriage document for Dan and Mary there. Dan was born 1820-1830 depending on the census viewed. In 1860 & 70 the family was in Altona, NY. Their daughter Hattie was born in 1854 and married Albinus Morse Wells (listed as AM Wells) and lived in St Albans, VT on Diamond Street. Daniel died in Aug of 1900 (was ill and lived there 6 years) at Hattie's house and was taken to the Old Mooers Cemetery in Chazy, NY. LOOKING FOR DANIEL'S ANCESTORS. CENSUS SAYS HIS PARENTS ARE BORN IN NY BUT HIS DEATH CERTIFICATE SAY HE WAS BORN IN WATERBURY, VT, HOWEVER NO RECORD HAS BEEN FOUND THERE. I believe Dan is Mohawk and need help finding his ancestors. DAN had a sister named, Flora who married Arlington Reynolds and lived in Rouses Point, NY. Dan and Mary's other children are : Alice A b. 1856, Helen G b. 1859, Ettie and Henry b. 1864 all in Altona, NY.
