Frank McCord, author of Angela's Ashes and of 'Tis
Yes, but it's Frank MCCOURT, actually... which is a known variant of McCord. However, the McCourts separated from the McCords far earlier in history than we realized. There are several McCourts in the McCord DNA Project on FamilyTreedna, so we can compare STR markers and realize interesting points of history!

I'll bet he was good, eh Frank? McCourts tend to be great story tellers. Although Clan McCord is a comparatively small Clan (you can live all your life in Scotland and never meet one) they seem to be voracious authors, poets, teachers, etc. We have more McCords in America than lived in Scotland. You can tell that I am a big promoter for this small clan. Have a nice weekend (with a good book), ;)
