changing father/mother changed the privacy settings

Question

There are a number of profiles on my error report where the mother and father are switched. I couldn't figure out how to switch them both at the same time, and as soon as I switched one, the privacy level changed, so now I can't switch the other (since I'm not on the trusted list).

profiles with father as mother and mother as father:

Garrett-4854, Garrett-4851, Garrett-4850, Garrett-4848, Garrett-4849

father: Garrett-4565

mother: Marchak-1

Yeah, how did that happen. Normally father first, but sometime mother first.  

And now it's an error.

It wasn't anything you did.  Trying to remove Claude as mother was always going to fail.

The problem is the profile of the person [edit: or children] is living, and even though the the privacy level was open, making changes to it will modify the privacy level unexpectedly and without warning.

The suggested workaround was to modify the profile to have a temporary "fake death" date before switching the parents. But I suspect that will change the privacy level again after removing the death date.

Sounds like a bug to have the designated privacy levels automatically changed by certain actions.

I had that happen a couple of times.  If there is a Profile Manager, be sure to leave them a message explaining what happened and ask them to complete the error correction.

I also stopped resolving these switched father-mother errors because of the privacy problems. I think it happens when one of the siblings has a high privacy level.

You could be right about the siblings. I hadn't checked all of them before I started. A number of them are set to Red currently.
