Why is Wikitree refusing to remove a block on my account

Hello,

I am sick to death of uneducated, unrelated 5 minute researchers altering information on my family tree! I attempted to remove the profile and start again since these "researchers" were screwing with information making changes and posting unrelated comments. SPAM!!! I was blocked in doing so and Wikitree has thus far refused to process my request to have all entires I have added removed! The so called "HONOR" code is far from practised by Wikitree staff themselves to ensure they protect the valuable data presented to them from spamming and hackers. All I have been asking is to have every entry I processed removed permanently. Why, well Wikitree has broken privacy and trust agreements and proven to not be trustworthy to hold other people's valuable information. Under privacy rights I am still seeking an answer to so I can remove my whole tree. I even created a new account under the exact same IP address which was granted full unrestricted access. No how could I possibly do that when my IP is blocked? Seems like Wikitree has a major flaw. I then found out I could delete all profiles created on that account which I proceeded to do. So why can't Wikitree remove the block and remove all profiles on my original tree? No one is going to ever use this data again and it doesn't link anymore as I removed key links, so why keep it? I cannot delete my account which serves well as nobody can take over the profile. All because trust is gone from Wikitree. I might just publish a warning in the NZ Genealogical Society magazine to steer forever clear of Wikitree and that its Honor codes are meaningless and full of crap.

Anonymous , wikitree is very clear what is what when we sign up. Why did you sign up if you everyone would have access to all profile you create and all information.

Hi Anonymous,

I can't help until I can look at your account. Since you're posting as anonymous I have no idea who you are.  Can you post your profile ID? Or you can email it to me at eowyn -at- wikitree.com.

So Sorry for your situation, I hope it can be resolved: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Problems_with_Members . As we at wikitree are building "One World Tree" we as individuals DO NOT own any profile. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ownership_and_control .

wikitree Honor Code: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code .

wikitree Acceptable Use Policy: http://www.wikitree.com/about/acceptable-use.html .

DWWA : http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Don%27t_WikiTree_While_Angry , if you let someone " Get your Goat", perhaps you could tie it closer to any tree :)

Obviously this is not tech support, so I will waste no further time. Wikitree has already gone the way of ancestry and other websites littered with simple family histories. I am disappointed people make changes to profiles and with 5 minutes research think they know all without first contacting the person who created the profile, it's just arrogant and disrespectful, the whole purpose is communication, not rewrite history without knowing what you are doing. This site is littered with these people and ranks up there with ancestry's half-assed armchair researchers. The purpose of this site is already compromised with inaccuracies and trees made to suit, NOT based on evidence. I ask people to prove a connection, they can't! I thought I might find professionals, but rather Wikitree presents amature armchair researchers. I laugh at all the trees without documentation which people are so proud of their half research and now Wikitree like Ancestry boasts family tree clutter.

Unfortunate for Wikitree it will not receive any more information on my family and I will happily leave it there to rot with misinformation. I have my tree well documented and willing to help those related only by other means of contact such as find a grave.com.

Hi J,

Would you like me to go ahead and close your account then?
Hi

Their is things I hate about Family search, which is similar to wikitree, their is things I hate about ancestry, Their is things I hate about geni aka Myheritage, Yes I love Wiki honor code, their is some things, I dislike here also, but I love the thought about trying to have 1 tree for all, but basic off facts, and not crap.  Every body needs to improve their own areas.
