Working on GED Compare and I don't understand what should be skipped.

My GED Compare says I have  9 suggested matches, yet I'm not clear why one of my sons has no information except name. Is it because I didn't list marriages and children for him?

I also don't know if I need to "skip". I've tried reading through but I don't get it.

Thanks. Patricia Minter-302

Hi Patricia,

Not sure where you are importing your data from, but, it may be that in the original program the data is marked as private, and so, it does not load into the GEDCOM.

As far as who to skip, make sure you skip all the duplicates.  Hit the little green C, and if the two profiles are the same, you should skip them.

Hope that helps.
