missing contributions for Feb 2016, Mar 2016, and part of Apr 2016 [closed]

Question

After noticing a posting about missing contributions for February, I was motivated to page through my entire list of contributions.  I found a big gap.

According to the list, I made no contributions between February 1 and April 10, 2015.

Tech-team, can you determine if I created or changed any profiles during that time?  I find it hard to believe that I did nothing on this marvelous and addictive site for 2-1/2 months....

I had a look at your contributions and agree there is a gap.  Hopefully someone in the Tech department can clarify.

Julie. Did you do merges? Someone may have removed THEM and repreposed them.

I don't quite understand what "removed them and repreposed" means....

Regardless of that, I merged fewer than a dozen profiles, and all were ones that I had created by mistake.  (There were a LOT of my ancestors named "Johann Straehle", and sometimes I lose track!)

Do I "lose" points for merges?
