An email address is on the wikitree.com profile for Elizabeth Bateman Lyon. I suspect that the email address has turned her profile into a private profile that can't be seen by many of her descendants. I don't think that this is a good thing. Since Elizabeth died over a hundred years ago, I don't think that she will be answering her email.
I think that If someone is trying to show a living person that this profile exists, it would be more appropriate to send an email to the email address containing a link to the profile.
I wonder whether this posting of an email address is why I have seen other profiles for long-dead persons with private security settings. I can't think of a valid reason to set to PRIVATE the profile for a long-dead person. Am I missing some good reasons?
