Did George Frederick Wales Henry immigrate to US from Ireland before 1892

New York State Census Records (Amite E.D. 02) show a George F. Henry, 27 years old, as an Irish immigrant, but then US Citizen.  Might he be the son of John William Henry and Lucinda Henry nee Alexander?  US Census data later shows him in Wisconsin married to a Laura and having a child.

This seems to be the best answer.  The two other answers dealt with his birth, not his immigration status.

I've not seen the immigration log, but it's likely that this George Henry was the George Henry that immigrated in 1880 to the US and was in the 1892 New York State Census Report of 1892 where he was listed as George F. Henry and not just George Henry.
