Old and New Edinburgh

I just found this wonderful site http://www.oldandnewedinburgh.co.uk/ It comprises scans from Cassell's Old and New Edinburgh, by James Grant, which was printed as a periodical in the 1880s. Licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 License all may use the illustrations as they wish. These volumes are a true gem!

Wow - a huge thank you Nicky - most of my maternal ancestors were from Edinburgh and also my One Name Study.

Awesome T :) It's an amazing resource isn't it, and so great the pictures are all free of copyright. The guy who did that site has clearly worked really hard to get it out there. I was rapt when I stumbled across it!
