Henry and Eulalia Burt are my 8th great-grandparents.  I am taking a trip to Massachusetts and would like to visit their graves and gather more family information.  I would appreciate any help.

This is one of the oldest Cemeteries in Springfield, Hamden County, MA, USA started in the 17th Century.

Apparently the stone is so old the dates are eroded and not readable.  Can't tell if it is your Henry.  Two tricks to reading old stones.  One is take a spray bottle of water and wet the surface.  Second take a large piece of paper and a large colored chalk, place the paper securely on the stone and turn the chalk on its side and rub the paper.  I have had some sucess and many failures but it is a chance.  Good luck

Henry Burt and Eulalia Marche Burt died in Springfield, Mass     .A check with Springfield's Tourist Bureau should get you the names of the cemetaries in use in colonial times. If you write the Springfield townhall first, enclose a selfaddressed stamped envelope so they can reply.  A call to the Springfield library might be helpful.  Henry died Apr 30 1662. Eulalia died August 19, 1690.  Their son Henry also died in 1690
