Looking for place dob for FREDERICK ROBERT PEARCE who married Mary Letitia (maiden name unknown)

I have traced them to South Africa - not sure if they were born there or born elsewhere and immigrated.  Their first child was born in 1909 in South Africa

I can't help you with the dob of Frederick Robert, but I can give you what my grandmother Vera (his and her daughter, sister of Stella Beatrice) claimed Mary Letitia's maiden name was - Faure.  This is a name that is associated in South Africa with the Huguenot refugees that came to South Africa.  Unfortunately I have not been able to locate records of their marriage or of her birth/ancestry.

She also stated that he came to South Africa as a young man together with his sister, Margaret.

South Africa, Birth and Baptism Records, 1700s-1900s

Thank you so much Mr Lockwood - yes Stella Beatrice was their first daughter and I have the Baptism certificate for her and the other 3 children.  I just cannot, for the life of me, locate anything further about their father (my great-grand father) and not having his wife's maiden name is also proving to be problematic.  But I will certainly contact St Mary's - they possibly have other records which are not on fish.

THANK YOU AGAIN for taking the time to look at my question and do the research - I truly appreciate it.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead

Kind Regards, Lesley Thomas (nee Pearce)
