His WW2 draft card indicates Charlie was born in Omaha, Texas.  Also notice the defining characteristic of the scar on the left forehead.  That would help in old photo IDs.

Here's the link: "United States World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKC4-MWF1 : accessed 14 June 2016), Charles Oscar Pate, 27 Apr 1942; citing NARA microfilm publication M1936, M1937, M1939, M1951, M1962, M1964, M1986, M2090, and M2097 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).

The 1910 census for Omaha, Morris Co., Texas shows Charlie, Beulah, Cyril (Saryial), Jewell and Nellie plus Virginia S. Pate born about 1848 in Georgia who is indicated as Charlie's mother.

Here's the link: "United States Census, 1910," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M2SK-9GG : accessed 14 June 2016), Charley O Pate, Omaha, Morris, Texas, United States; citing enumeration district (ED) ED 111, sheet 1A, NARA microfilm publication T624 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 1,375,592.

Finally, the 1880 census for Morris Co., Texas shows a 1 year old Charley O. Pait, with parents B. J. (b. about 1840 Alabama) and Sarah D. (b. about 1847 in Georgia).  Siblings are James, Thomas, Mary, Robert, Emma and Eler.

Here's the link:  "United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFJ3-3ZL : accessed 14 June 2016), Charley O Pait in household of B J Pait, Precinct 3, Morris, Texas, United States; citing enumeration district ED 95, sheet 145B, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 1320; FHL microfilm 1,255,320.

I would suggest that Virginia S. and Sarah D. are the same person based on the year and place of birth.   The D. may be a clue to Sarah's maiden name.

If your research Charlie O's siblings, you may be able to find out what B. J. stands for and the mothers maiden name
