Adding photos

Question

I looked in the Help section but did not give directions (at least that I could see). I want to add photos to different profiles. The first already had a photo but I tried adding another but all that showed up was the PDF logo. What do I need to do? Thanks.

Photos need to be in GIF, JPG, or PNG format.

Thank you, of course the one I try is a PDF.  Now how do I get rid of it? Thanks.

If you make sure that no profile is attached to the photo (click "REMOVE" next to the "People, Places & Things in the Photo" listing on the photo page) it will not show up anywhere anymore but linger on for a while in the bowels of WikiTree until it eventually disappears completely.

Helmut is correct, but it's worth noting that many people do upload PDFs intentionally. Preview/thumbnail images won't display for them, but it's a way to attach documents.
