Anyone ever uploaded an Ancestry Raw Data File to GEDmatch and gotten no matches?

Has anyone ever uploaded raw data from Ancestry to GEDmatch and had "0" matches return for the one-to-many comparison?

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the AncestryDNA Helper extension?

Oh there are so many other questions but that will do me for now.

Thanks,

Mags

When you upload to GEDMatch there is a queue for batch processing. If the kit hasn't been processed yet then it is restricted for one to many comparisons. Has the kit passed batch processing yet?
FTDNA have advised that any new Ancestry kits won't be accepted for transfer to their database due to the new testing chip and also a new autosomal file format that Ancestry are using.

FTDNA have further advised that the new format is not compatible with their current database and this may well be the case with GEDMatch.

Isn't AncestryDNA Helper Extension only available in Chrome?

And as far as I know GEDMATCH and the Helper Externsion are 2 separate products.

I've always had matches but only one has ever proved of interest. I put it down to my English and Australian background. That 1 is an enigma because we both know that we are only related through a marriage with no direct ancestor linking us. However I have a NPE with my maternal grandfather so we suspect that is where the link is particularly since both families were in East Anglia at the time and not all that far from each other.

Yes The Extension is only for Chrome - and yes they are two distinct things.

Have you tried GEDmatch's diagnostic utiliity?

https://www.gedmatch.com/diagnostic1.php

If the tester is of European origin then you would expect to see matches in GEDmatch.

I haven't experienced that problem with GEDmatch.  What is your problem with AncestryDNA Helper?  I recently could not get the download matches buttons to work, but I remembered that using the DNAGedcom Connection Client is much quicker and easier.  I am now only using the extension for the search tools.

The Raw Data upload from Ancestry shows "0" Matches or no matches when I try to run the one-many and it's been 5 days since I posted it to GEDmatch.

Yeah about the DNAGedcom Connection Client and going to run it later to see the matches from Ancestry.

Thanks Veronica,

MAgs
I'd probably delete the kit and try again, something obviously odd going on. First check one on ones though just to be sure.  Is it still tokenising ie ** has these next to it?  If it is one to many isn't available yet.
I saw on FaceBook that GEDMATCH is doing updates and some of the newer loads aren't included in the matching process yet. Give it a couple of days or so until they get themselves in order.

Mags, I agree with Rosemary.  Most likely they haven't completed the processing of your file.  Until that's done, you can only do a 1 to 1 comparison.  As I recall, on your 'home page' on Gedmatch, you'll have asterisks in front of the name of the kit if it hasn't completed batch processing.  If there aren't any asterisks, then the processing should be complete.  In that case, you may want to delete that test and then upload again.  Be sure to not unzip the file before uploading.

Thanks. I have deleted the test and uploaded it again.

Though Simon's comments has me a bit worried...
