Today, I noticed that My Heritage has a 'source' on my Aunt's page purporting to show documents available for her. They most definitely do NOT relate to my aunt at all.
When I typed her information in my Ancestry GEDcom which I then uploaded to WikiTree, her name was as shown on her birth certificate. However, she was never known by her first name, Mary, only by her middle name, which was Margaret and that is the name I always knew her by. Actually, we called her Aunt Maggie.
When I checked what was available on My Heritage, all the documents were for a Mary Martin here in the US. My Aunt Maggie was born in Canada and of course, she emigrated to the US in the early 1900's and always lived in CT.
I have just let my subscription to My Heritage expire (as of yesterday to be exact) as I have run into this kind of problem many times before and have so many requests to confirm information submitted by others researching relatives. Many times, this has been helpful; many times not so much. I get at least 3 requests weekly to confirm hundreds of other names that may or may not match and the citations, etc. that I've lost interest in My Heritage.
Thank you for any suggestions you may give me on how to delete this 'source' on my aunt's page - Martin-25118.
