He was a research chemist, with several patents, born at Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales (not Hollywood).  There must have been some sort of conference in the United States in 1946, as several chemists and research chemists traveled aboard the Manchester Trader from Manchester on 2 May 1946, bound for the United States.(The National Archives at Washington, D.C.; Washington, D.C.; Manifests of Passengers Arriving at St. Albans, VT, District through Canadian Pacific and Atlantic Ports, 1895-1954; National Archives Microfilm Publication: M1464; Roll: 618; Record Group Title: Records of the Immigration and Naturalization Service; Record Group Number: 85 Accessed at Ancestry)

Leslie Morgan lived in Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales, with his mother, Ellen Morgan, a 34 year old milliner, and sisters Louie, 16, and Leila, 2 months.  Ellen is married, but no husband is shown. All were born in Holyhead.  Ellen is shown as the head of the household, and their postal address was 14 Boston Street, Holyhead.(1911 Wales Census [ on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Operations, Inc., 2011. Original data: Census Returns of England and Wales, 1911. Kew, Surrey, England: The National Archives of the UK (TNA), 1911. Class: RG14; Piece: 34625; Schedule Number: 99
