The Swan: Cecily arrived 1610 Aboard the Swan, as did Lord de la Warre.
The shipping industry at that time was dominated by the Dutch, who built a highly profitable fleet of ships, known as Fluyt’s which they in turn leased out to English shippers.
I will stick my neck out and say that the vast majority of merchant vessels that sailed to America and Canada were Dutch ships under contract, such as the Mayflower.
Now here is where it gets interesting, of all the ships mentioned as transporting persons to the New World, one, the Swan, still survives.. it was located at the bottom of the Baltic off the coast of Sweden
